Beat the Cold is an annual triathlon hosted by 1JustCity and TriFactor Triathlon Club where weekend warriors, super athletes and fun-letes will run, bike, and skate in the frigid February weather. Since 2019, the wildest Winnipeggers have beaten the cold so others don’t have to.
Our event is dedicated to raising funds for 1JustCity’s “Just a Warm Sleep” (JAWS) program. Since its start in 2017, JAWS has provided emergency overnight shelter during the coldest winter months, whenever temperatures drop below -10°C. This year, we’re excited to announce an expansion to year-round support, offering shelter and housing assistance to individuals facing homelessness or unstable housing. In addition to securing housing, JAWS also offers personalized support, such as help finding furniture, landlord communication, and connections to other 1JustCity programs based on individual needs.
Our presale runs until Jan. 15, and all orders will be included with your race kit (options below).
